AL FRESCO:
Al Fresco: Resilience in New York City was conceived by Standard Issue in the spring of 2021, after the city had enacted its Open Streets policy. Like many of our fellow New Yorkers, we were uplifted by the life the emerging structures were bringing to the streets of the city we love.
This project celebrates these efforts and the ingenuity behind them. Standard Issue staff photographed hundreds of outdoor dining structures, then edited these down to the 244 featured here.
